Cleocin-T Gel Uses

• Cleocin-T Gel is used to treat acne vulgaris.

Directions

• Apply a thin film of Cleocin-T Gel Topical Solution or use a Cleocin-T Gel Topical Solution pledget for the application of Cleocin-T Gel twice daily to affected area. You may use more than one pledget. Use each pledget only once and then discard it.

Warnings/Precautions

• It is not known whether clindamycin is excreted in human milk following use of Cleocin-T Gel. However, orally and parenterally administered clindamycin has been reported to appear in breast milk.

Missed Dose

• If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Possible Side Effects

• Orally and parenterally administered Cleocin-T Gel has been associated with severe colitis which may end fatally. Abdominal pain and gastrointestinal disturbances as well as gram-negative folliculitis have also been reported in association with the use of topical formulations of clindamycin.

Storage

• Do not use pledget if the seal is broken. Discard after single use. Keep all liquid dosage forms in containers tightly closed out of the reach of children.

Overdose

• Topically applied Cleocin-T Gel can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to produce systemic effects. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected.
